Summary (CIViC Variant)
WT1 exon 7 mutations have been shown to be recurrent in acute myeloid leukemia. Many sources have examined the prognostic impact of these, agreeing that the mutant exon 7 cohort is correlated with worse overall survival and a number of poor prognistic outcomes. This may be the result of an overall poor response to chemotherapy from WT1 mutant tumors.
