- Description
- A patient with an uncontrolled relapse of c-kit-positive mesenchymal tumor in descending part of the duodenum had received 400mg Imatinib daily for more than 10 years at the time of publication. He responded well to therapy (Karnofsky index 90%). KIT V559D (Exon 11) was identified in the diagnostic biopsy and indicated as a positive predictor of imatinib response with long term usage.
