MGMT UNDEREXPRESSION ( ENST00000306010.8 ) - Associated Disease
- oligodendroglioma
- Source Database
- CIViC Evidence
- Description
- In this study, loss of chromosome 1p and low MGMT protein expression were associated with objective response (P < .003 and P < .04, respectively). However, only 54% of the study group had evaluation of 1p/19q status, and MGMT protein expression was studied in only 33%. Therefore, the association between 1p deletion and low MGMT protein expression was statistically significant when evaluated further and verified in the extended group of 31 patients with low-grade oligodendrogliomas.
