- Expression of GRP78 (HSPA5) in colorectal cancer patients (n=396, by IHC) showed improved benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy in stage III patients (52% vs. 28%; p = 0.026). In vitro, GRP78 inhibition reduced response to 5-FU.
