- Description
- Of 65 VHL families from central Europe, 53 were identified with germline mutations. This nonsense mutation was found in a Filipino, VHL type 1 patient with hemangioblastomas of the central nervous system (family VHL 50). This study contains very strong evidence of pathogenicity in the form of a frameshift variant in a gene where loss-of-function is a known mechanism of disease (ACMG code: PVS1).
