- A retrospective study examining the expression of AURKA in tumor samples of 78 esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients found that positive expression of AURKA (>10% of cells by IHC) was correlated with increased clinical response to chemoradiation therapy consisting of cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil, and 40 gy radiation (P = 0.0003).
