- In conclusion, this meta-analysis suggests that the MAP3K1 rs889312 C allele is a low-penetrant risk factor for developing breast cancer, and there is limited evidence to indicate that MAP3K1 rs889312 polymorphism is associated with increased risk of breast cancer in BRCA1 mutation carriers.
