- In 48 patients with advanced gastric cancer, retrospectively analyzed for PTEN expression using IHC, PTEN loss was associated with a shorter duration of response (median 4.2 vs. 6.1 months, p = 0.04) to HER2-targeted therapy (trastuzumab, N=39; lapatinib, N=9). Response rates did not differ between groups.
