- 33 patients were retrospectively analyzed for Stathmin expression by IHC. High protein expression was correlated with poor response to paclitaxel but not other chemotherapy. The authors supported this conclusion with pre-clinical studies that showed that knock-down of stathmin improved sensitivity to paclitaxel in endometrial carcinoma cell lines with both naturally higher and lower sensitivity to paclitaxel.
