- Description
- 71 Childhood B-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia relapse patients had their diagnosis and relapse samples sequenced for NT5C2 mutations. Sequencing revealed an early relapse case with NT5C2 S445F enriched to a variant allele frequency (VAF) of 25% at relapse and was undetected at diagnosis. S445F could drive clonal outgrowth through the promotion of drug resistance, specifically to thiopurines, which are a staple of ALL maintenance therapy that are administered daily.
