Description
The study began with a total of 443 patients that were randomly assigned to either regimen A (Paclitaxel and cisplatin with gemcitabine) or regimen B ( cisplatin and vinorelbine). Of those patients, 261 had tissue available for RRM1 evaluation. In regimen B, survival increased significantly in patients with low RRM1 expression as compared to those with a high expression (P=0.046). However, in regimen A, the increase in survival for patients with low RRM1 expression as opposed to those with a high RRM1 expression was not as significant (P=0.366).
