Description
In a study involving patients with invasive ovarian carcinoma who had undergone surgery, a subset of 73 patients were classified via response to platinum-based chemotherapy as sensitive or resistant/refractory and tested for p53 overexpression (>10% postive stained nuclei). 78% of p53 negative patients were classified as sensitive, in compariston to 39% of p53 positive patients (p=0.001).
