- In retrospective study of 175 metastatic breast cancer patients treated with trastuzumab-based therapy, the presence of a PIK3CA mutation (E542K, E545K, or H1047R) was associated with a greater risk of progression (HR = 1.86, P = 0.014, multivariate analysis ) compared to wildtype PIK3CA.
