- In a retrospective study of 182 metastatic breast cancer patients of mixed HER2 status treated with trastuzumab-based therapy, PTEN loss (as measured by IHC) was associated with a higher risk of death measured from initiation of trastuzumab (HR = 1.64, P = 0.029) and diagnosis of first metastasis (HR = 1.85, P = 0.003).
