- NPM1 mutation (N=724) was associated with higher complete remission rates (92% vs 82%; P < 0.0001), lower cumulative incidence of relapse (42% vs 58%; P < 0.0001) and higher overall survival (48% vs 27%; P < .0001) than NPM1 wildtype status (N=885) in intermediate risk, young adult AML patients (median age 46 years).
